Our Cattle Program
We are a family operation, and the herd reflects that. Nobody here manages cattle from an office. The same people who own the ranch move the animals, check the water, and put in the day.
The cattle are registered Brangus, recorded through the International Brangus Breeders Association. Registration means the animal's ancestry is documented through the breed association, and the papers follow the animal.

The Climate
Florida is hard on cattle. The heat does not let up, the humidity sits on everything, and the bugs never quit. Plenty of good cattle simply do not thrive here.
Brangus was built for exactly this. The Brahman side brings tolerance for heat, humidity, and pests, so the animals keep grazing through a Florida summer instead of standing in the shade burning energy to stay cool. The Angus side brings the marbling and the eating quality.

Documentation
A pasture full of black cattle looks about the same from the road. It is not. Commercial cattle are raised for production with no formal record of their ancestry. Registered cattle have recorded bloodlines verified through a breed association.
Ours are registered through the International Brangus Breeders Association. That means documented ancestry behind the animal instead of someone's word for it, which is what makes an animal predictable to a buyer, whether they are thinking about beef or about breeding.

Registration paperwork belongs to an individual animal, not to a ranch in general. When you are looking at a particular animal, ask about its documentation directly and we will go through exactly what comes with it.
The Breed
Brangus is three-eighths Brahman and five-eighths Angus, stabilized as its own registered breed. It exists because neither parent breed solved Florida on its own, and the ratio is the answer somebody worked out a long time before we got here.

How They Are Raised
The cattle live on open pasture on our place in Clermont, in Lake County. They are handled by the family, day in and day out, in the same Florida weather they were bred for.
That is simply how a family ranch this size runs. The people who own it are the people who do the work, and they are on the ground with these animals every day.
