If you own an RV, a boat, or a trailer in Central Florida, you already know how this goes. The HOA does not want it parked out front, the street is not allowed, and the commercial lots fill up and charge accordingly.

We keep a handful of outdoor spots open on private ranch land just outside Clermont. It is quiet, it is fenced, and there is real room to maneuver a big rig without playing bumper cars with the next guy. Not a tight commercial lot with a keypad and a stranger at the counter, just open ranch property and a family who answers the phone.

The ranch sits just outside Clermont, in Lake County. Storage is the one thing we do that really is about distance, because you have to drive out here to drop the rig and drive back when you want it.

That makes it a short run from Minneola, Groveland, Mascotte, and Montverde, and an easy drive from Winter Garden, Horizon West, Ocoee, and Windermere. If you are further out than that, storage probably is not worth the trip, and we will say so.
