Breeding Programs

Three ways to breed your females here.

Faria's Sunset Ranch is a small family cattle operation in Clermont. We take a limited number of outside females for breeding programs built around our registered Brangus bull, coordinated artificial insemination, or a combination of both. Every animal is accepted by prior approval.

01 · Natural Service

Registered Brangus bull exposure

From $750 per female for up to 60 days. Your open cow or breeding-ready heifer is managed on ranch pasture with access to our registered Brangus bull.

02 · AI Coordination

Artificial insemination coordination

We provide the facility, cattle handling and program management, and coordinate with a qualified AI technician or veterinarian who performs the insemination.

03 · Combined

AI plus clean-up exposure

A custom program: coordinated AI first, then natural-service exposure to our registered Brangus bull when the breeding plan calls for it.

The Bull

Meet W5 MR ENZO.

Our current natural-service breeding program uses W5 MR ENZO, a registered Black Brangus bull. His registration number is 10590859, giving cattle owners a specific registered animal to review when considering a breeding program at Faria's Sunset Ranch.

His registration details provide a clear reference for customers evaluating the bull used in the ranch's natural-service program. Additional pedigree and EPD information can be added to this page later once those records are mapped and verified for publication.

Natural Service

Registered Brangus bull exposure.

Our natural-service breeding program uses the ranch's registered Brangus bull, W5 MR ENZO. You bring an open breeding-age cow or a breeding-ready heifer, she is managed here on pasture with access to the bull, and you collect her at the end of the program.

From $750 per female for up to 60 days. Under normal conditions that covers pasture, water, normal mineral access, routine observation, and exposure to the bull for the length of the program.

Availability is limited and every female is accepted by prior approval. We take a small number of outside animals at a time, because the herd and the ground come first.

  • Pasture and water for the length of the program
  • Normal mineral access
  • Routine observation
  • Access and exposure to the ranch's registered Brangus bull
  • Up to 60 days from $750 per female

What it does not include. Pregnancy diagnosis is not included in the standard natural-service fee. Transportation is not included. Veterinary care is not included and is arranged by the owner.

We do not take cow/calf pairs as a standard service. If that is what you have, call and ask — pairs are considered by prior approval only, and the answer depends on capacity and the ground.

Breeding exposure does not guarantee conception. Reproductive success varies by individual animal and other factors. Pregnancy diagnosis is not included in the standard natural-service fee. If desired, veterinary pregnancy evaluation may be coordinated separately.

If a female is later confirmed open, additional breeding exposure may be available subject to ranch availability, health and biosecurity requirements, and additional charges.

AI Coordination

Artificial insemination, coordinated.

Artificial insemination here is coordinated, not performed by us. The insemination itself is carried out by a qualified cattle AI technician or veterinarian. What Faria's Sunset Ranch provides is the rest of it: the cattle-handling facilities including a chute, day-to-day management of your female while she is here, and coordination with the breeding professional running the program.

Customers may use selected semen and genetics appropriate to their breeding goals. Semen sourcing and availability are confirmed as part of the breeding plan, and semen handling remains with the breeding professional unless something else is specifically arranged.

Where a synchronisation protocol forms part of a program, it is determined and directed by the veterinarian or breeding professional, not by ranch staff. Breeding timing follows the protocol they establish. We provide the normal observation and cattle handling the agreed program calls for.

Contact us for program pricing. AI coordination is quoted per program, because the cost depends on the breeding plan, the semen and genetics involved, the professional services required, and how long your female is on the ranch.

Combined Program

AI followed by clean-up exposure.

Some owners want to use a specific AI sire and also include natural-service exposure in the same breeding program. That is what this one is for. Your female is bred through a coordinated AI program first. Then, when the breeding plan established with the qualified breeding professional calls for it, she may receive natural-service exposure to our registered Brangus bull.

This is a custom program and it is quoted individually. It is not the AI price plus the natural-service price, and it is not a fixed package.

Length of stay for an AI plus clean-up program is determined individually based on the breeding plan and guidance from the qualified breeding professional. There is no set number of clean-up days and no automatic second 60-day period.

Custom quote. Tell us what genetics you have in mind and what you are trying to achieve with the female, and we will work out a program and a price with you.

How It Works

How a breeding program starts.

01 · Reach out

Tell us about your female

Call, text, or send the form. What she is — cow or heifer — her age, her condition, whether she has calved before, and what you are hoping to get out of the breeding.

02 · We talk it through

We tell you whether we can take her

We will tell you straight whether we have room, whether she sounds like a fit, and which of the three programs makes sense. If she is not a fit, we will say so.

03 · Intake

Requirements confirmed before she arrives

Health and biosecurity requirements apply to all incoming cattle. Required records, testing or veterinary documentation will be confirmed before animals are accepted. Please contact the ranch before transporting cattle to the property.

04 · The program runs

She is managed here

She is managed here for the agreed program. Depending on the program, that may include pasture, water, normal mineral access, routine observation and the agreed breeding exposure or handling. At the end of the agreed stay, the owner picks her up or previously arranged return transportation is provided.

Intake

Which females we can take.

We accept open breeding-age cows and breeding-ready heifers. Every animal is accepted by prior approval, subject to health, condition, temperament, breeding readiness, biosecurity requirements and ranch capacity. We are not able to say yes to everything, and we would rather tell you that on the phone than after a trailer has already left.

Animals are accepted only by prior approval and must meet the ranch's intake requirements before arrival.

Health and biosecurity. Health and biosecurity requirements apply to all incoming cattle. Required records, testing or veterinary documentation will be confirmed before animals are accepted.

Please contact the ranch before transporting cattle to the property.

Getting Her Here

Delivery and pickup.

Transportation is not included in the breeding price. Customer drop-off and pickup are welcome, and most owners haul their own. Ranch pickup and return transportation may be available for an additional fee — ask when you call and we will tell you whether we can do it and what it would cost.

Please contact the ranch before transporting cattle to the property. We need to confirm intake requirements and that there is a spot for her before she is on a trailer.

Breeding Inquiry

Ask about a breeding program.

Tell us about your female and what you are trying to achieve, and we will tell you whether we can take her and which program fits. If you would rather just talk, call or text the ranch and you will reach the family directly.
